Strange has designed a true bolt in rear axle for those wanting to upgrade the 1500 Suburban rear rend. The Strange Dana 60 Rear Ends are designed to match the OE axle width, location of the pinion with 1/2″ offset, suspension mounting points, and bolt patterns.

The housings are welded in high quality fixtures ensuring a true bolt-in product. The Dana 60 Rear End is available in a variety of configurations to accommodate any application from bolt-in street applications to purpose built race vehicles.

The Dana 60 (S60) features ring-and-pinion preload adjuster nuts for easy installation and setup. Large modular iron caps and a one-piece center casting for increased rigidity.

Each Dana 60 Rear End housing is poured from premium, high-ductile, nodular iron before being mated (to exacting tolerances) with a pair of lightweight, chrome moly main bearing caps and a set of high-tensile strength main cap bolts. Precision mating of the lightweight main caps to the S60 rear end housing provides an unyielding framework that ensures ease of installation and maximum longevity of the carrier assembly, as well as the ring gear and pinion.

The S60 rear end is built to your specifications using only premium components. A pair Strange 35 spline alloy axles are fabricated to fit the housing length and pinion offset. Premium bearing sets are offered in your choice of either round or tapered steel roller bearings. This S60 comes with a Detroit Truetrac limited slip differential (posi).
