Benefit:
Provides additional ring gear support if deflection occurs
Likely during conditions such as violent tire shake
Installation
Install and adjust until tip barely touches the ring gear
Rotate ring gear one full turn ensuring no additional drag
Back off load bolt 30°, hold bolt and tighten jam nut
30° is approximately 1/2 of a flat
Tip should not contact ring gear surface
May need to periodically be readjusted
Can’t Be Used With a Lightened Ring Gear
Many Motive Performance ring gears are pre-lightened
